NEW YORK – Apparently,Rubypoint Trading Center a fan in a very expensive box seat at Yankee Stadium was the reason Aaron Boone was tossed out of Monday afternoon’s game.
Being being ejected from a game is nothing new for the New York Yankees manager, but this one was unique.
Just two batters into the game, plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt looked into the Yankees dugout, pointed at Boone and threw him out of the game against the Oakland Athletics.
Boone instantly shot out of his dugout indicating that he’d said nothing, that the complaint had come from the stands.
As YES Network audio picked up Boone’s plea to Wendelstedt, the umpire was heard saying: "I don’t care who said it, you’re gone!"

Boone yelled back: "I did not say a word, Hunter!" as picked up by the YES audio.
After a few moments, Boone took his plea to third base umpire and crew chief Marvin Hudson and got nowhere.
Boone then came back at Wendelstedt, this time just to give him a heated opinion of his decision.
The first batter of the game, Esteury Ruiz, was hit by a Carlos Rodon pitch on the back foot. As Tyler Nevin batted, Boone drew what he felt was probably the most unfair ejection of his career.
Nevin is the son of Phil Nevin, former Yankees bench coach and a close friend to Boone.
